This introduction to supported employment introduces participants to the basic concepts of job coaching, job development, natural supports, and employment culture. It also focuses on job coaching and the philosophies behind providing quality services. There are multiple activities that are designed to educate and teach participants various aspects of the job including how everyone takes direction differently, what giving 100% means, and how old habits can sometimes be hard to change. Throughout this training, participants will experience the person centered approach to service delivery.
