About Our Positions

Program Counselor
As a Program Counselor you will typically work a four to eight hour shift at varying times throughout the day.  Schedules include shifts during the week and/or weekend.  This position will provide you with the unique opportunity to develop rapport and reciprocal relationships with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities.  You will be able to achieve these valuable relationships through assisting consumers with daily living skills, community involvement, and by promoting the opportunity for consumer choice and independence. 

Job Coach
As a "Trillium Works!" Job Coach you will typically work four to six hour shifts during regular business hours on weekdays.  A Job Coach provides support and supervision to individuals while they are working at their community-based job.  You will also have the opportunity to support consumers seeking jobs by developing the skills necessary to obtain employment in the community.

Weekend Recreation Specialist
As a Weekend Recreation Specialist you will typically work every other Friday through Sunday.  You will have the unique opportunity to be available the entire 48 hours you are working to assist the consumers with their daily routines and recreational activities.  There is a weekend recreation schedule that you will have an opportunity to help develop and be responsible to carry out with consumers.

Awake Overnight Counselor
As an Awake Overnight Counselor you typically work from 10 pm until 8 am staying awake to provide any support and assistance that may be needed throughout the night.  You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with each consumer by assisting with their "up and awake" routine in the morning.

Asleep Overnight Counselor
As an Asleep Overnight Counselor you typically work from 10 pm until 8 am. You will be able to sleep during your shift allowing you the opportunity to carry out other work or school schedules during the day.  You will be available to the consumers throughout the night for any support or assistance they may need.  You will also have the unique opportunity to build relationships with the consumers by providing support and assistance with their "up and awake" routine in the morning. 

Live-In Companion
As a Live-In Companion you will be living in a private bedroom in the consumers' residential home.  You will receive a monthly stipend and free rent and utilities for providing asleep overnight and morning support.  The support shifts typically will be from 10 pm until 9 am Sundays through Thursdays.  You will have the unique experience of living with the consumers that you provide services to and will develop relationships by providing support and assistance with their "up and awake" routine in the morning.
